Raw Quinoa-Kale Salad

Raw Quinoa-Kale Salad
Servings: 2-3

 Ingredients
1/2 cup Red Incan Quinoa
1 bundle fresh kale
1 squeezed lime
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 cap full red wine vinegar
1 tbsp fresh chopped ginger
1 garlic clove
1 Tbsp honey
7 shakes of sea salt
2 tsp kelp powder
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 shakes of cayenne

Preparation:
  1. Let your Red Incan Quinoa Soak in Cold or Room Temperature Water for 24 Hours. During this process strain and change your water every 8 hours and let the Quinoa Continue to soak. Raw grains can still be very “dirty” after packaging, your water should be clear.
  2. Let your bundle of chopped Organic Kale soak in cold water for 1 to 2 hours. I always separate my Kale leaves from the stem by hand and count it as “chopped” - this allows more bonding with your RAW Meal, or food period. Drain your Kale water and move Kale to a bigger glass or wooden bowl if that bowl isn’t big enough to add other ingredients.
  3. Add ½ cup of sprouted Quinoa
  4. Chop your garlic clove and ginger together in a small food processor or with a knife. This allows the juices from your garlic and ginger to integrate before adding it to the bowl. After they are finely chopped, add to bowl.
  5. Add Sesame Seed Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Kelp Powder, Sea Salt, Cayenne, Sesame Seeds, and Honey.
  6. Squeeze Lime in Last.
  7.  Now its time to break theses contents down to size and full flavor. Massage your Quinoa Kale Salad for 20 MINUTES (yes ALL 20 minutes) with your hands. Transfer the energy of love, patience, and healing to your mix thoroughly by hand.
  8. Cover and place in the refrigerator to marinate or serve right away- Voila! Enjoy!

What Nutrients is Kale Packing!?

Kale for K! Vitamin K is one of the most significant nutrients that Kale has to offer. This is even amplified when lightly cooked even though we're going raw this time.  This is especially beneficial for women with a heavy menstrual flow.

Raw Kale is the number one source of the phytonutrients Lutein and Kaempferol.
Lutein is an antioxidant specifically for the eyes. It improves vision and helps to prevent diseases of the eye such as cataracts. This wonderful carotene is also beneficial for the skin, cardiovascular system, and helps to prevent breast and colon cancer.
Kaempferol has many helpful properties such as antibacterial, anti-allergy, anti-cancer, anti-gingivitis, antioxidant, antihistamine, diuretic, protects liver and nervous system, and helps diabetic complications among many other things!

Raw Kale is also a host to nutrients such as Vitamin A and C, Copper, and Manganese.
In smaller amounts you can find B2, B6, Calcium, and Potassium.

Overall this is a SUPER FOOD that everyone should include in their diet!
More kale please! :)
