Women's Wisdom Wednesdays: Be Water

Be Water

The Winter Solstice is upon us.  The shortest day and longest night of the year occurs on Friday December 21st, 2012.  As the darkness overpowers the light in the balance of night and day, so should our bodies follow suit and get more rest and relaxation...physically, mentally and emotionally.

For some odd reason, I completely forgot this.  I had a very momentary, yet monumental lapse or brain fart or what have you and I decided that I have to push harder and work harder at a time when the Universe is calling for us to hibernate and regenerate.

I crashed.  Exhausted, in more ways than one, I found myself crying in front of two of my clients in one day.  I was tired...of being tired, to paraphrase the amazing Fannie Lou Hamer.  I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I knew one thing, I was most definitely overwhelmed.

That night, sitting outside with my brother, it hit me.

I am doing too much work for this time of year.

I should be sleeping, meditating, watching and consciously creating my thoughts.  Instead, I was engaging in and attracting situations that I felt I needed to be active or "fiery" in, in order to execute a positive outcome or to solve whatever issues were at hand.  I remembered the importance of being able to be fluid...and as Abraham Hicks would say, flow downstream.

"I'm happy where I am.  I'm eager for what's coming."

So, I stopped fighting.  I decided to take a day to replenish my energy and to re-member just how power-full and divine I am.  Hence, the weekly Wednesday blog being posted on Thursday, but it feels very good to be taking time out to re-connect with Self.

For the next few days, I will also be taking time to create more affirmations that vibrate on the frequency of the things I am working on achieving and attracting in this moment.

Below is a link that I always refer to when speaking to my clients about the importance of being mind-full of the words and thoughts that we entertain or give energy to.

If thoughts can do that to our water...what can they do to us?

Be Water, My Friend

Willing you all a Happy and Peace-full Winter Solstice!
