Winter Skin Care with Hemp Oil and Hemp Seed.

Many cosmetic companies have a little secret. True skin moisture comes from within and not on the surface. When many people have dry skin they run straight for the lotion or baby oil and forget to attack the dryness from within. Hemp Oil is a great Topical and Internal source of moisture for skin especially if you have eczema. Hemp oil or hempseed oil is obtained by pressing hemp seeds. Cold pressed, unrefined hemp oil is dark to clear light green in color, with a pleasant nutty flavour. The darker the color, the grassier the flavour. Nutiva is a great company who have many Hemp Seed Products hitting the market that can be purchased at your local health food store.

About 30–35% of the weight of hempseed is an edible oil that contains about 80% as essential fatty acids (EFAs); i.e., linoleic acid, omega-6 (LA, 55%), alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3 (ALA, 22%), in addition to gamma-linolenic acid, omega-6 (GLA, 1–4%) and stearidonic acid, omega-3 (SDA, 0–2%).The proportions of linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid in one tablespoon per day (15 ml) of hempseed oil easily provides human daily requirements for EFAs. Unlike flaxseed oil, hempseed oil can be used continuously without developing a deficiency or other imbalance of EFAs. This has been demonstrated in a clinical study, where the daily ingestion of flaxseed oil decreased the endogenous production of GLA.

Everyday if possible take a spoonful of Hemp Seeds or a shot of Hemp Oil and watch how your skin and hair radiates brilliantly. Eventually you will not need to purchase lotion any more because your skin will moisturize it self from the inside. To tackle Ashyness just pour a little hemp oil in your hand and rub your dry spots. A little goes a long way
