Sensuous Summer Solstice
The Summer Solstice has arrived! Today, June 20th, is the longest day of 2012. Because of the way Earth rotates on it’s axis, those in the Northern Hemisphere will get an abundance of solar energy today. In Kemet (Egypt), this time is sacred to Heru, as outlined by the Ausar Auset Society: Ausar Initiation Calendar.

In Kemet (Egypt), this time is sacred to Heru, as outlined by the Ausar Auset Society: Ausar Initiation Calendar.
This calendar shows that Heru’s planet is the Sun and his element is Fire.
Heru (whose mother, Auset, conceived by Immaculate Conception after her husband, Ausar, was murdered) represents our FREE WILL. Our free will is not only our ability to choose what we want to do, but the ability to make choices based upon Divine Law.
As a Pisces, I like to call this my “Liquid Fire” time. During the summer solstice, I feel so much more motivated to accomplish things and I find that my to-do lists and other tasks seem so much easier to handle. This year, to better facilitate this process, I am cleansing for the days surrounding the Summer Solstice to give my digestive system a rest, and also because I know how quickly energies can be absorbed, transferred and transformed when our bodies are not laden down with processed foods.
Another way to get the best out of this time of year is to get some SUN IN! Taking time to expose your yoni to the Sun will help you to absorb solar energy.
